Motivation (female hypnotists) Is Yours With Weight Loss Self Hypnosis

By Alan Densky

With bitter, winter days ahead for many of us, the thought of braving the weather to get to the gym or go for a jog doesn’t sound very attractive. Keeping the motivation to stick to your weight loss goals when everyone else wants to hibernate is simple with self hypnosis for weight loss.

A lot of people who are trying to lose weight agree that motivation is especially challenging when the weather changes, so what if you could stay dedicated to your exercise plan and diet just by viewing a hypnotherapy weight loss DVD or listening to a CD? Better yet, a hypnotherapy weight loss program can diminish your cravings too.

Hypnotherapy for weight loss works simply, but effectively, by guiding you to a deeply relaxed state during which your unconscious can more effortlessly receive suggestions, such as the ones that will keep you motivated to stick to your fitness track, even in the midst of winter.

It is a fact that if a person exercises, it will speed up their metabolism and increase the rate that weight is dropped. Some of the most successful hypnotherapy for exercise motivation techniques comes from Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP. With NLP, the unconscious mind is programmed to use the same thought processes that are producing a problem, to get rid of it. Said another way, the same thought processes that the unconscious mind utilizes to create cravings and oral compulsions could help to completely stop them! And similarly, the same processes can be used to increase your motivation to exercise.

Anchoring is an NLP practice that can be practiced to give you a “switch” for sparking behaviors and feelings. Creating a hypnosis appetite suppression anchor works simply and effectively like this: A qualified hypnotherapy weight loss practitioner will safely direct you into a tranquil hypnotic state. Then the hypnotherapist will ask you to recall a time when you were happy and excited about anything in your life.

The goal of this exercise is to remember and re-experience as many sensations as you possibly can from numerous times in your life when you felt eager and motivated to do anything you wanted to. Then, the weight loss hypnosis therapist will ask you to anchor those feelings by simply touching two fingers together.

Next, you will be asked to visualize yourself exercising and enjoying it. As you make this mental image, you’ll trigger your anchor by touching those two fingers together again. When you do that, your unconscious will connect the feeling of excitement and eagerness from the other memory to the thought of exercising.

From this point on, whenever you wish to feel motivated to exercise, you can simply trigger your anchor and re-experience those same affirmative feelings that will motivate you to workout. NLP and weight loss hypnosis can even be used to discourage behaviors, so you can easily beat cravings. That sounds much easier and encouraging than beating yourself up for missing a workout or giving into temptation, doesn’t it?

A successful weight loss hypnosis program will also address the root cause of weight gain for many of us, namely a lack of self-esteem. In a relaxed state, you can accept post-hypnotic suggestions that will develop your self-esteem as you lose more weight. The lack of self-esteem is a big factor in being overweight.

Many people wonder if, after attempting every new diet and buying every exercise implement on the market, something as straight forward as weight loss hypnosis can work for them. The good news is that it has been found that all normal people are hypnotizable to a greater or lesser extent. However, it should be noted that people who have less than a 70 I.Q. or those who are in an active state of psychosis or with senility generally are not hypnotizable.

But for the rest of us, self hypnosis for weight loss can actually make us look forward to exercising and eating healthily. That said, the major proponent for victory in any fitness routine, whether it embraces weight loss hypnosis or not, is wanting to achieve your weight loss goals.

On a related note, that is exactly why you can’t force someone to undergo weight loss self hypnosis just by giving them suggestions. If someone is against an idea, no amount of weight loss hypnosis they hear or see will take hold. In reference to the NLP explanation above, if someone does not have a memory of feeling positive or motivated, they can still be successful with NLP and hypnotherapy because they can envision what it would feel like if they did feel that way, and anchor the imagined feelings.

So, if you are like many of us and find your enthusiasm diminishing as the temperatures drop and the days get darker, weight loss hypnosis can assist you to regain (or maintain) your interest for carrying out and finally hitting your fitness aspirations.

The Key To Learn Self Hypnosis
By John Hubert

One of the keys to try and learn self hypnosis is to understand that theory of mind. Basically our mind is divided up into two distinct portions, the subconscious and the conscious mind. Separating these two portions is what’s known as the ‘critical mind’.

The critical mind is the part of our mind that analyzes information and determines whether or not it should be passed into our subconscious. Since we can’t actively think with our subconscious (if we did, we’d be consciously thinking of the thought, hence they would no longer be in our subconscious), any thoughts that enter into it will normally play upon our minds without us being aware of it.

Some of these thoughts can be positive, such as thoughts associated with confidence and the ego to an acceptable level, however some of the thoughts can also be negative, such as those which cause us to pick up bad habits and addictions like excessive eating or smoking addiction. Even alcoholism is a problem that is associated with addiction that we can’t easily get rid of.

So what self hypnosis allows us to do, is dive down into our subconscious and perform hypnosis upon it, causing it to change its fundamental thought structure and patterns and replace them with more positive, useful thoughts. If we have a negative thought for example that is associated with eating, and we want to use hypnosis for weight loss, then we may give ourselves a suggestion such as ‘I will be confident with myself without feeling the need to eat’. This will subconsciously plant the thought that you are quite capable of living a happy, fulfilling and confident life without the need to be stuffing yourself with pastries.

As you delve deeper into the hypnosis state, you may enter into various stages known as the hypnoidal, cataleptic and finally the state of somnambulism. When we’re in somnambulism, we often experience a form of temporary amnesia. That is to say that we forget a lot of what happens whilst we’re in the hypnotic state. For this reason it might be an idea to seek the services of a hypnotherapist to guide appropriate suggestions into our subconscious, as often if we go into hypnosis too deeply, it becomes harder to give ourself positive, affirmations and suggestions.

So if you want to learn self hypnosis, then by all means, find an online course that you believe is suitable for your needs. If however you’d rather just practice self hypnosis for your own benefit then why not try finding the services of an appropriately trained hypnotherapist first, before embarking upon your journey to learn hypnosis? Whatever you decide, know that if you apply the principles you’re taught, you can use hypnosis in your every day life to help you immensely.
