Using Hypnosis For Depression And Its Cure (local hypnotists)

By John Hubert

Believe it or not, but depression is a treatable and manageable disease. Whilst perhaps there isn’t any universal cure for it, using hypnosis for depression can help manage it in ways a lot greater than you might initially think or believe.

Let’s take for example the symptoms of depression. You have less motivation to do things, you feel quite lethargic and just don’t see a point, a reason or any ambition in doing things. This presents quite a problem as the less we do things, the less in touch we are with the world around us, the more we can become depressed and the further we delve into this troubling psychological state.

Thankfully however, hypnosis can be used to help treat, but not cure, depression. The way hypnosis works is by sending your mind into a subtle yet deep subconscious state. When you’re in this state you’re more open and prone to suggestion than you are normally. It’s by manipulating this state of the subconscious, and placing suggestions that are more likely to make the symptoms of depression easier to handle, that you’ll be able to help treat this state.

Of course hypnosis is not without its skeptics. Some people will claim that hypnosis essentially is just a placebo effect, that you will something to happen enough and it does. This is pretty much essentially what hypnosis is! It is about making your mind believe in something enough so that it becomes a reality, and if the results of such a thing can be demonstrated to cause so much benefit for so many people, then obviously the processes of hypnosis do work.

Give it enough time and using hypnosis for depression will do wonders for you. This psychological state that you enter into can effectively rid you of a number of ailments that you may have, and treating depression is definitely possible. Like with all things, patience is a necessity, and you’ll need to willingly guide yourself into these deep, euphoric, relaxing and ultimately blissful states of calmness that your mind and body experience as a result of hypnosis. This calm is derived from the your mind finally being able to relax itself after thinking about things so much each and every day.

So don’t worry, and don’t feel depressed or stressed. Give self hypnosis a go, and your depression may just surprisingly be minimized, and who knows, it may even go away. I’m not saying that you’ll come across a depression cure, but I am saying that you will come across a way that you can easily manage it.

The Effects Of Smoking And How To Easily Quit
By Alan Densky

Smoking is a dangerous and addictive habit that affects the lives of millions of people around the world. We now know the dangers of cigarette smoking and smokers are urged to quit smoking for the benefit of their own health. This is not easy to do, as most smokers begin at an young age. The average age at which many people begin to smoke is thirteen years old.

A habit formed at such a young age is not easily broken. Nicotine affects the body in many ways and it is hard to pull free without some assistance. Nicotine addiction is only one of many different diseases associated with smoking. Most smokers will need assistance to quit smoking and a variety of different methods exist for this very purpose.

There are many reasons why people begin smoking and develop an addiction to cigarettes. The main reason that people begin to smoke is peer pressure. Some young people think it looks “cool” when portrayed on television, in movies, and in advertisements. It also is forbidden which makes it all the more alluring to rebellious teenagers, hence the low starting age for many people. This young age makes quitting smoking more difficult in your later years.

Media can also have an impact on the decision to begin smoking. Smoking portrayed on television or in movies can lead you to think that smoking is a harmless activity. Parents can wield the biggest influence over their children by setting a good example and not smoking, or quitting smoking. Mothers and fathers who smoke are much more likely to have children who smoke.

Smokers begin to crave nicotine, a drug within tobacco. Nicotine can affect your body and mind in many negative ways. Nicotine, once inhaled into the lungs reaches the brain in a matter of just eight seconds. Once there, nicotine affects your heart rate and blood pressure. Over time it can increase your bad cholesterol levels and cause the narrowing of your arteries. Nicotine in concentrated doses is a lethal poison, so imagine the damage it inflicts on your body. Nicotine is also addictive and one of the reasons many people cannot quit smoking.

Smoking can affect your health on a variety of levels. Low stamina is one side effect of smoking. More serious smoking related diseases include emphysema and cancer. Strokes and heart disease are also closely linked to cigarette smoking. A person who stops smoking will greatly reduce their chances for these diseases for every year they go without smoking.

The outcome of these medical conditions caused by smoking is grim. Lung cancer is nearly always fatal unless caught very early and a full 80% of lung cancer cases are caused by smoking. Lung and heart disease can subtract years from your life unless you are able to quit smoking. Emphysema cannot be cured but only managed, plus the damage to your lungs cannot be repaired. Stop smoking benefits include a healthier, longer life and a better quality of life.

There are several different ways to quit smoking, and you must choose the best method for you as an individual. Nicotine gums and patches are designed to help slowly release you from the nicotine addiction. These only work for about 10% of the people who use them. Going cold turkey is another option and this works for up to 11% of the smokers who try to quit this way. Other well known methods to quit smoking include an herbal kit that can show you how to quit smoking. It has a success rate similar to that of nicotine gums and patches.

Hypnotherapy is a popular and effective option for those who want to quit smoking without weight gain or withdrawal. Hypnotherapy has a high success rate with smokers who are trying to quit smoking. Hypnotherapy might sound like an extreme solution but it delivers solid results up to 70% of the time. This success rate is far greater that of other methods.

The reason hypnotherapy is so effective is that it while the physical addiction to nicotine makes up only about 10% of the smoking addiction, the emotional and mental aspects of the habit make up about 90% of the smoking addiction. Hypnosis treats this aspect of the addiction.

In addition, 45% of the smoking behavior is caused by stress, and hypnotherapy has proven to be a safe and effective tool that can help reprogram the mind to divert it away from stressful thoughts, and towards more positive and relaxing thoughts. In addition, the very essence of hypnosis is that it incorporates a state of deep relaxation.

And about 45% of the smoking behavior is caused by conditioned responses. This occurs when smoking is associated with other activities and events at the unconscious level of mind. For example, if you smoke and simultaneously watch television, your unconscious will associate the image of a cigarette in your hand with the image of the TV. Every time you see the TV, your unconscious flashes an image of the cigarette in your hand, and you feel an urge to smoke.

Hypnotherapy for smoking cessation is regularly used to “extinguish” the conditioned responses by disassociating the unconscious links between cigarettes and TV, drinking coffee, working on your computer, driving, or any other situation where an unconscious association has been created.

In summary: Although most smokers believe that their inability to quit smoking is based on their addiction to nicotine, in truth it is the psychological aspects of a smoking addiction that present the largest barriers. Hypnotherapy was accepted by the American Medical Association in 1958 as an effective tool. And hypnosis for smoke cessation is the second most common use of hypnotherapy today.

While hourly rates for hypnotherapists climb higher and higher, there are some effective self hypnosis programs on the market that can greatly reduce the cost of obtaining hypnosis treatment. Since everyone is unique, there are no specific “magic” words or post-hypnotic suggestions that will work for everyone. So when choosing a self hypnosis program, look for programs that incorporate a broad variety of hypnotic and NLP techniques in a series of at least six or more sessions to achieve the best possible results. In any event, the fee for the very best self hypnosis programs equates to much less than the amount that an average smoker wastes each and every month on buying cigarettes.

Barack Obama read Mind Control Language Patterns
By Dantalion Jones

I swear Barack Obama read my book “Mind Control Language Patterns”

http://www.MindControlLanguagePatterns.com

NOTE: I have on political intention in posting this speech. It is simply a look at it’s use of persuasion… and it’s quite awesome!!

This is an excerpt from a speech by Senator Barack Obama - New Hampshire Primary

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 Nashua, New Hampshire

My comments on the persuasive power of this are in (bold).

We’ve been asked to pause for a reality check. (This is an indirect suggestion to “pause” i.e., to stop thinking or rationalizing) We’ve been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. (”We” implies a “you and me” thus uniting us. From our detached “pause” we can look at the concept of false hope.)

But in the unlikely story that is America, (”unlikely” allows us to feel unique and special as Americans, linking us to the myth of a people who thrive against all odds) there has never been anything false about hope. (This is a different use of the words “false” and “hope” and reframes “false hope” in a new way) For when we have faced down impossible odds (these impossible odds are unmentioned but assumed and affirms that we are unique) ; when we’ve been told that we’re not ready, or that we shouldn’t try, or that we can’t, generations of Americans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people.

Yes we can.

(A call to action but even more; a call to rebellion against those who try to discourage us.)

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.

(Evocation of “destiny”; that we are the central figures around whom great things can occur.)

Yes we can.

It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom through the darkest of nights.

(Offering anecdotal evidence to support our rebellion against any oppressor.)

Yes we can.

(Repetition. Hammer it into the mind and link it with powerful and positive emotions.)

It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness. (More strong images of perseverance against security and reason.)

Yes we can.

It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballot; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land. (Wow! This one is POWERFUL! Without stating who the “King” is it providing clues of “mountaintop” and “the Promised Land” and he allows us to connect the dots on our own. This makes us to feel as if we have knowledge of an inner secret.)

Yes we can to justice and equality. Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity. Yes we can heal this nation. Yes we can repair this world. Yes we can. (Powerful use of repetition.)

And so tomorrow, as we take this campaign South and West; (in itself this brings people back to earth… to the reality of the campaign. This would be bad if it were not for the preceding emotional high we’ve been brought to) as we learn that the struggles of the textile worker in Spartanburg are not so different than the plight of the dishwasher in Las Vegas; that the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; (This creates the feeling of bonding between different people. A feeling that we are not so different from one another.)

we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, (Providing three ways of saying “we are one people” and thus clobbering us with repetition again) we will begin the next great chapter in America’s story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea (”coast to coast; from sea to shining sea” evokes patriotic memories of the song “God Bless America” … all without saying it explicitly!) Yes. We. Can.

(Yes, we can! There is little more persuasive than a simple phrase repeated and instilled with emotion. It is the same effect that Hitler used with “Zieg Hail!” and Martin Luther King with “I have a dream.”)
