Persuasive Techniques That Are Misrepresented–The Weaknesses of The Art of Persuasion (hypnotists listings)

By Jonathan Groves

Most people who are learning covert hypnosis have heard about hypnotic language patterns and how they can be used to control people’s minds. But can we? Can you name one single person who has become powerful or famous as a result of practicing hypnotic language patterns? Maybe we could think of at least one or two people, but the fact remains hypnotic language patterns do not have any consistent function whatsoever in the art of persuasion. The people who are benefiting from hypnotic language patterns are those who make deceitful promises and teach them for large sums of money.

This exposes the fact that the only people who are obtaining any type of success from these hypnotic language patterns are the so called “persuasion guru’s” who are teaching them. Yet, it isn’t the language patterns that are making them effective, its their fraudulent selling plans that are making them rich as they constantly trick you to pay for their programs.

Covert hypnosis does not revolve around the use of language. Yes, language has its role as it is a system of communication, but it is no where near as important as social strategy. Social strategy involves the art of building alliances and using these alliances to our benefit. Social strategy is built upon our behavior and every particular subtle action of how we carry ourselves in social environments.

Persuasive techniques are fundamental, yet they are complex in their application because they are repetitively modified by a persuasion artist who is using them to control his social structure. This leaves us with a powerful principle to fully consider, because true persuasive techniques are basic and yet at the same time complex. It is the ease of persuasive techniques that allow us to establish intricate theory to fully comprehend the theories that influence and regulate human behavior.

Facial Tics Easily Banished With NLP Or Hypnotherapy

By Alan Barrett Densky, CH

Up to 25 percent of all children suffer from the emotional pain of facial tics. This problem can most accurately be explained as a repeatedly occurring spasm that affects both facial and eye muscles. The exact etiology is frequently unclear, although research has demonstrated a significant connection between stressors and an increase in the evidence of symptoms.

Another possible cause of tics is a deficit in essential vitamins or minerals, including magnesium. Some types of facial tics are manifestations of nervous system disorders, such as Tourette syndrome, a disorder caused by a malfunction of the nervous system. This health condition is hypothesized to contain a genetic facet as well.

Some examples of a facial tic include rapid eye movements or eye blinking, squinting, mouth or nose wrinkeling, twitching, grunting, mouth twitches, facial grimacing, facial twitches, and throat clearing. The condition often originates early in an individual’s physical development, and may last for just weeks, months, or even years. In some cases, the condition lasts even after a child reaches adulthood.

Facial tics can perpetuate and potentiate anxiety-related behaviors in a child already experiencing significant stress because of the tic itself. Kids are often extremely unkind, making fun of the child’s problem. Further, educators who lack understanding and fail to help other students to empathize and assist the child in overcoming his condition can can create a devastatingly negative impact on a child’s self image.

The problem, however, is not relevant only to the afflicted child. Adults who must cope with a facial tic find this extremely difficult to manage. These individuals frequently encounter overwhelming social difficulties. In some situations, a person can teach themselves to recognize the onset and supersede the impulse that causes the facial tic. Even this, however, can become emotionally and physiologically exhausting. Such individual often wrestle with self image problems as well.

Adults who obtain relief from the humiliating effects of facial grimaces and other tics are afforded with an opportunity for social rebirth. Their perception of themselves is altered, and they no longer are afraid to experience life at its fullest. Children who overcome the effects of this condition no longer are burdened by the agonizing stress that impairs their social lives, and encounter with joy instead of emotional pain.

On occasion, medications, such as mildly sedating drugs, are prescribed to this problem. Even though the medications may decrease the appearance of these symptoms, the medications themselves can often cause adverse effects. For this reason, persons sometimes rely on alternative methods to assist them in treating their condition.

Two treatment methods that have demonstrated exciting potential in helping people to successfully manage facial tics are hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). These therapies capitalize on the strengths of the individual’s unconscious mind to help them rechannel the spasm. Since these therapies identify and treat the origin of the disorder through intervening in the unconscious where the problem originates, they are much more useful than traditional therapy methods that merely attempt to control eye blinking, mouth twitches, squinting, facial grimacing, facial twitches, grunting, or other types of impulsive behavior.

Hypnosis allows the client to enter a restful trancelike state and accept suggestions that allow them to expel anxiety. Since tics are a result of suppressed anxiety within a person’s body, expelling this tension enables them to successfully control the impulse. After several sessions, the client ought to be able to experience the ability to handle tension successfully.

Alternatively, therapists who use NLP assist the client to channel his or her conscious will to use thoughts that stress them as triggers for thoughts that will relax them. Additionally, the individual learns to use an unrelated part of the body, such as a toe, to release the anxiety that would have previously been manifested by the facial tic. This also allows individuals to manage tension without relying on the embarrassing behavior.

Another positive outcome of both these is that the client does not experience adverse effects from medication type therapies. For this reason, both hypnotherapy and NLP are frequently perceived as the ideal treatment for individuals who suffer from tics, such as nose wrinkeling, or throat clearing, because these therapies do not have undesirable side effects. This avoids considerable pain and stress for the affected person.

Summary: Facial tics are frequently socially destructive and may yield extreme consequences. Male children are more likely to demonstrate this difficulty, which can continue into adult life; however female children may also have struggles with this. While several treatment approaches are available, hypnosis and NLP seem to be the safest therapies, because they have no negative side effects and are very efficacious.
